Why should I record how the session went?

Caught fish, bites/follows and no-luck sessions all build your private fishing history. Recording the result helps My Tackle Box show what has happened for you before without treating that history as a promise.

What does Target species mean?

Target species is what you intended to fish for during that Fishing Mode session. It stays separate from the species you actually catch, so Da Vat Hy does not guess the species behind an unlanded bite or follow.

What does “Your Fishing History” mean?

It compares today with your own previous recorded sessions. A stronger history fit means today resembles situations where you previously saw fish response. It is personal history, not catch probability.

Why don’t I see a percentage yet?

Da Vat Hy deliberately hides response percentages when a matching sample is too small. In the current personal-history features, a percentage normally appears only after at least 5 matching sessions.

What does Species Memory show?

Species Memory keeps confirmed catches separate from sessions where you were targeting a species. Bites/follows while targeting Bass, for example, are recorded as fish response while targeting Bass — not proof that the unlanded fish was Bass.

What does Conditions Memory show?

Conditions Memory groups your own recorded sessions by pressure trend, wind, rain and time of day. These are historical associations from your fishing, not proof that a condition caused the result.

How do I log a catch?

Open Catch Log, confirm the fishing water and time, choose the species and lure or bait, then add optional length, weight and notes before saving. Your private Catch Log is the default.

Yes. The Catch Log is private by default. Public Catch Board sharing and de-identified Fishing Intelligence contribution are separate optional choices.

What does “Help improve Fishing Intelligence” share?

Best window highlights the strongest weather-based fishing period in the current forecast for your selected water. It is a planning guide, not a promise, and local access, safety and on-water observations still matter.

How do weather, water levels and moon phases affect fishing?

Da Vat Hy treats conditions as a combined fishing picture rather than a set of magic numbers. Pressure trend, wind, rain and timing form core context; water-level movement adds observational context; lunar phase stays a low-weight supporting signal. None of these guarantees a bite.

How does barometric pressure affect fishing?

Da Vat Hy treats barometric pressure as a trend, not a bite switch. Look at whether pressure is rising, falling or stable over several hours and interpret that change together with wind, cloud, rain and actual fish response. There is no single magic pressure value.

Wind can change surface light, wave action, local water movement, casting and lure control. Direction, strength, duration and the shape of the dam all matter, so Da Vat Hy does not use a rule that the windy bank is always best. Strong wind also becomes a safety decision.
